Producer: The Honey Ladies

For years now we are all concerned about the health and population of bees all over the world. Without them our food supplies become sparse and limited. And as a buyer and consumer we all can do something about that. Our lifestyle makes the greatest impact on environment. By making the right choices we can all help. Choose organic to limit the use of pesticides in food production. Choose local to limit the carbon- footprint and support sustainability in our community. And choose the Honey Ladies product to support safe relocation of unwanted hives from the Bay Area to local Gilroy and Monterey County farms.
Wendy Towner grew up learning the art of taking care of bees from her parents. When she started her business the idea was to safely relocate the bee hives from vastly growing Bay Area communities and move them to safe places on organic farms that rely on that coexistence.

Nowadays, Wendy and her team not only saves the bees, but they are providing our community with beautiful raw, Grade A honey, that is unfiltered and without the use of antibiotics in the bee hives.

It’s a real art to know where to locate the bees and when to extract the honey to keep the colony healthy and to harvest unique flavors that are not infused, but naturally created by the bees.

Please support The Honey Ladies and their team. These days they are doing their best to help save bees for the benefit of all of us, while still recovering from the tragic events that took place in 2019 during the mass shooting at the Gilroy Garlic Festival.

Wendy and her husband were one of the fist victims of that terrifying event. They spent long months recovering after the gunman fired multiple shots directly at their market stand and left Wendy and her husband were one of the fist victims of that terrifying event. On behalf of the family we thank you for your continued support!
